Our family lives in a small county called Davie Co. in North Carolina. The community in Davie Co. that we live in is Calahaln. The cream part of the name is due to the fact that goat's milk is high in fat and makes for a very creamy bar of soap.

So there's our name Calahaln Cream!

Yes, all my soaps are made in small batches here in my home. My husband made me a special cutting box so I can hand cut each loaf of soap. Most loafs are 9-10 bars.

I started making soap in 2014.

I prefere to use solid oils that the lye has already gone through saponification. This prevents the safety issue with the hazards of lye around small children. I buy top end ingredients, essiential oils and fragrance oils. I have created my own formulation and combinations of these ingredients in my recipies.

No, Calahaln Cream products are not tested on animals.
